Respiratory Therapist NICU Pedi

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Lewisville. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our NICU and Pedi departments.
Job Summary:The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers respiratory care services to patients in the NICU and Pedi departments. This includes performing diagnostic tests, administering respiratory therapies, and monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities:- Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Graduate from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.
- Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- RRT registration from National Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.
- One year experience in Respiratory Care and with training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.
Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility. We offer a broad spectrum of care to the communities of southern Denton County. Our patient tower has two floors dedicated to women's services, and we have a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We are a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center.
