Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Suppression System Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems, as well as other related building system products at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals
  • Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products
  • Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service
  • Perform inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements

Requirements

  • Mechanical/electrical background needed
  • Ability to work with extinguishers, kitchen system and emergency/exit light inspections
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Outstanding Customer facing service and problem-solving skills
  • PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Valid US drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturer certifications (ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem)
  • Location within 50 miles of the Macon, GA area
