TalentFish is seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Head of IT Policy Strategy. This is a direct hire opportunity designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and excel in a dynamic, Agile environment within the Life Insurance and Annuities sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple Agile product-oriented teams focused on Visual Cobol and related technologies.
  • Ensure the delivery of superior quality products in the life and annuities domain while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive Agile methodologies and principles across various teams to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee cross-functional teams and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and fulfill business requirements effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 8 years in software development, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Policy Administration systems in the Life/Annuity Insurance sector.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Agile transformations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and practices.
  • Experience in leading technical teams effectively.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience with Visual Cobol is a plus.
