About the Role

Synchrony Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Automation Specialist to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician Automation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with measuring, mixing, counting out, labeling, and recording amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
  • Prepack medications for the floor, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and affix labels.
  • Respond to questions or requests from patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and direct inquiries as needed to various departments.
  • Maintain proper storage and security conditions for medications, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Order, label, and count stock of medications, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, check for outdated medications in current inventory, and inform supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Meet Expectations of Excellence for the position.
  • Support location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and standards of ethical conduct.
  • Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • OH pharmacy technician license preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years' pharmacy technician experience in a healthcare, senior living industry, assisted living, pharmacy, or long-term care environment.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
