Tank Inspector

The Tank Inspector will play a critical role in supporting the growth of our Services Strategy by conducting inspections at customer sites to evaluate existing tank assets, providing written reports and recommendations, and collaborating with our CST estimators, construction professionals, Project Management, and Outside Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with customers by phone and email to discuss tank evaluations.
- Perform onsite tank evaluations to assess asset condition and provide detailed reports.
- Develop and communicate timely written reports and recommendations to the team.
- Provide detailed sketches, layouts, and other site visit information for use by the team.
- Standardize processes and documentation best practices.
- Collaborate with CST estimators to develop labor and material estimates for recommended repairs.
- Support project management on service projects.
- Provide support as needed to our services growth strategy.
- Work with subcontractors on complex projects.
- Collaborate with our construction service team to execute projects.
- Work with other construction team members to execute some service jobs and maintain daily reporting.
- Prefer API 653, ASNT, CWI, or STI certifications.
- Prefer a minimum of 2-year degree in construction science, construction estimating, or construction management.
- Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years' experience with bolted tanks or API 653 certification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in general construction knowledge and erection of pre-engineered structures.
- Prefer a minimum of 2-3 years' experience with bolted tanks and welded tanks & covers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Outdoor elements (possible inclement weather).
- Noisy work areas.
- Non-Air-Conditioned work areas.
- Busy forklift traffic zones.
- Fast-paced work environment.
