Job Summary

Birdsong Adams Knight Carroll LLP is seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial services department, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of complex tax returns, as well as providing expert guidance to clients on tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of personal, corporate, partnership, and trust income tax returns of varying complexities.
  • Review tax information provided by clients for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare and/or review amended returns of various complexities.
  • Respond to tax notices and prepare correspondence.
  • Conduct tax research projects and provide expert guidance to clients.
  • Work with and manage staff to assist in the preparation of tax returns and projections.
  • Answer accounting and tax questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Protect client relationships by maintaining confidentiality.
  • CPA certificate is required.
  • Recent experience in a public accounting firm is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients and staff.

  • Ability to prioritize projects and manage workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
