Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Business Taxation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our clients on complex tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth analysis and review of complex partnership state tax returns
  • Act as a Performance Advisor, mentoring and coaching team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery of high-quality services
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet client needs
  • Stay up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law, applying this knowledge to provide expert guidance to clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in business taxation, preferably with a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA, Enrolled Agent, or Licensed JD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of state tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, with industry specialization a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet client needs

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $137,700 - $276,700

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
