Job Title: SQL Developer/DBA

Tradeweb is seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer/DBA to join our team. As a key member of our Global Database Engineering & Operation Group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and modify database schema and code to meet project requirements
  • Design and implement ETL processes using SSIS packages and PowerShell/Python scripts
  • Monitor and troubleshoot critical scheduled tasks and processes
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Line of Business Technology teams to architect and implement new technologies and strategies
  • Monitor database performance, identify potential problems, and propose ways to optimize performance and scalability
Requirements:
  • College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent level of technical knowledge
  • 7-10 years of administration and development experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2017/2019)
  • 5+ years of writing complex T-SQL queries and authoring/debugging stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Strong experience of creating and maintaining SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • 5+ years of supporting a complex, large-scale, high-transactional volume system to very high levels of availability
  • 4+ years of using PowerShell/Python to streamline and automate frequent/recurring tasks
Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of the fixed-income/derivatives/equity markets and financial instruments that trade on them
  • Experience building and supporting SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Experience supporting all types of SQL Server replication
  • Experience using Quest suite of monitoring tools
  • Experience using Solarwinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA)
