Key Responsibilities- Assist with treatments ordered by providers as supervised by providers or registered nurses.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.
- Perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One of the following certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant Certification (MAC), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
As a Medical Assistant at SSM Health, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be expected to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing tasks that require frequent standing, walking, and use of hearing and speech.
