We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate PCU Registered Nurse to join our team at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs, detecting any changes and intervening as necessary to prevent life-threatening situations.
- Respond to Code Blue situations within the facility, initiating protocol and special procedures as required.
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for examination, and arranging for testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patient records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage as needed.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice, or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification, preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
- Minimum of one year previous acute care nursing experience.
