About North Orange County ROP
North Orange County ROP is a collaborative initiative in vocational education involving five school districts. Our mission is to prepare and empower future professionals through career technical education and comprehensive student support aimed at achieving success in both college and career pathways. Role Responsibilities
Under the guidance of an Instructional Administrator, the Medical Assistant Educator will provide instructional support to secondary or adult learners in the absence of the primary instructor. This role is crucial in delivering career technical education courses designed to equip students for future academic and professional endeavors.

Qualifications
• Valid and current license, certification, or degree as a Medical Assistant, Vocational Nurse, or Registered Nurse is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry experience in the Patient Care - Medical Assisting pathway is necessary for credential eligibility.
• High School diploma is mandatory.
• Teaching Credential: Candidates must qualify for or hold a California Career Technical Education (CTE) or Designated Subjects Teaching Credential in Health Science & Medical Technology. Assistance with the credentialing process will be provided.

• Proof of a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support card is required; successful candidates must obtain an AHA instructor's card to train and certify students.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds is essential.

It is important to ensure that your application is comprehensive and clear. Teaching demonstrations and interviews typically occur within two weeks following the application deadline.

Physical Requirements
