Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembly Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our esteemed client. This role is essential in supporting the assembly of prototype products within a dynamic engineering lab setting.

Compensation:
Hourly pay rate ranges from $32 to $38.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electromechanical prototype products in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Engage with project stakeholders regularly to clarify daily objectives.
  • Adhere to both verbal and written assembly instructions.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to establish optimal assembly practices.
  • Propose modifications to assembly processes aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Revise assembly procedures and Bills of Materials based on observations.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the development of work cells.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with fabrication tools such as hand drills or drill presses is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to convey complex information effectively and build consensus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in electronics or electromechanical fields.
  • Associate degree or higher in manufacturing or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency with hand tools including screwdrivers, torque drivers, and pliers.
  • Experience in soldering techniques.
  • Certifications in PCBA through-hole and SMT are advantageous.
