Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Part-Time Restaurant Staff to join our team at Lux's Restaurant and Café. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Order Processing: Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing your knowledge of our menu to make recommendations and answer questions.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash and process payments accurately, maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Table Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including clearing and setting tables, to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our menu to assist customers with their selections and answer any questions they may have.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations and achieve our goals.
  • Upselling: Promote additional items or specials to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
  • Cleaning and Organizing: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of restaurant outdoor areas.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management to ensure we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.

Requirements:

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Cash Handling Skills: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Availability: Availability to work evenings and weekends is required.
