The UPMC Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Physical Therapy Resident-Women's Health to join our team. As a resident, you will participate in a comprehensive training program designed to advance your skills in women's health physical therapy.
Responsibilities- Perform physical therapy assessments, reassessments, and treatments for patients with various conditions, including pelvic floor disorders, lymphedema, and other women's health issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including goals and interventions, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Supervise physical therapist assistants in the treatment of patients and maintain accurate documentation of all physical therapy services rendered.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in women's health physical therapy.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 clearances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
