About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Personal Trainer to join our team at Equinox in Medford, MA. As an Equinox personal trainer, your career becomes an empowered lifestyle founded on maximizing both your personal and client performance.

Our trainers receive comprehensive training through the Equinox Fitness Training Institute, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to design effective client fitness programs. Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain an active client base through excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Manage schedules accurately, including client appointments, meetings, and open availability within our internal systems.
  • Market and sell personal training programs to members and clients through various communication channels.
  • Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs, and products to provide exceptional member experiences.
Service and Hospitality
  • Deliver fitness assessments, guided workouts, and other complimentary services to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Interact with members to understand their needs and preferences, tailoring workouts to meet individual goals.
  • Create personalized programs for both in-person and virtual clients, focusing on safety, effectiveness, and results-driven approaches.
  • Maintain a clean and organized fitness floor during shifts and sessions, prioritizing member comfort and safety.
Professional Development
  • Pursue Continuing Education classes to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
  • Attend and participate in required one-on-one or team meetings with management to discuss performance, goals, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • CURRENT PERSONAL TRAINING CERTIFICATION OR WILLINGNESS TO OBTAIN ONE THROUGH OUR CERTIFICATION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM.
  • Current CPR/AED certification, with opportunities available for non-certified applicants.
  • Demonstrated passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding fitness, with a strong desire to deliver exceptional results.
  • Able to work in-person during weekdays/weekends, with flexibility to accommodate varying shift schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer and technology skills, with experience using scheduling software and other productivity tools.
  • Energetic, friendly, punctual, and respectful attitude, with a commitment to delivering outstanding member experiences.
