The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture. This includes managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in retail management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong understanding of customer behavior and sales trends.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of sales associates and leaders to achieve sales and productivity goals. You will be responsible for analyzing sales reports and KPIs to determine the needs of the business, executing in-store business and sales strategies, and controlling payroll and supply budgets. You will also be responsible for performing and overseeing basic operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, opening and closing duties, time sheet review, and payroll accuracy documents.
Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, operating procedures, and controls. This includes conducting associate training to reinforce proper controls and administering all operational processes including inventory receipt/dispatch, daily replenishment of floor merchandise levels, and execution and preparation of physical inventories.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail operations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in retail management. Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of retail management experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills
- Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
- Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales and leadership
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations
- Able to communicate with customers and staff
- Regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required
