Retail Sales and Merchandising Director

Micro Center is a leading technology retailer with a strong commitment to customer service and employee development. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales and Merchandising Manager to lead our high-volume store team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and organized store environment, ensuring sales policies and procedures are followed.
  • Lead sales floor teams to resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Drive sales, productivity, payroll, and expense goals through effective leadership and coaching.
  • Implement ad set and visual merchandising standards to enhance customer experience.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to supervisors and associates to achieve sales goals.
  • Review P&L statements with the General Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement sales strategies.
  • Participate in and lead open and close procedures, and serve as manager-in-charge during absences.
  • Manage freight flow, merchandise processing, and inventory control to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and coach supervisors and sales associates in product knowledge, solution selling, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure human resource issues are handled in accordance with guidelines, and partner with Regional HR Manager and Store Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in a high-volume, big-box retailer, preferably in a commissioned sales environment or within the consumer electronics industry.
  • A college degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in all aspects of retail management, including sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow, and customer service.
  • Experience in human resources functions, including hiring, retaining, and coaching qualified employees.
  • Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Shifts may include hours before and after the store is open to the public, as well as mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
