Job Summary

Under general supervision, the associate will accurately and efficiently select products from our warehouse. Prepare products for shipping by stacking them in an orderly and stable configuration, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Read customer orders from label screens and select products based on slot and description.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets in the proper sequence.
• Attach labels to the selected products.
• Properly operate an electric pallet jack (2-pallet length) to transport products to the dock area for staging.
• Handle all products with care and attention.
• Report any damage of merchandise, equipment or facility to a supervisor immediately.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure proper functionality.
• Assist in the clean-up of the facility and sign off on the daily cleaning area assigned by your supervisor.
• Sign in and out for all equipment when used.
• Use basic communication skills to understand work systems, instructions, etc.
• Adhere to all applicable GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), personal hygiene, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) policies and procedures as described in the European Imports – Sysco Food Safety Training Manual.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• Education
• High school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is required.
• Experience
• Six months of experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, but not required.
• Skills
• Ability to read and understand order instructions.
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
