Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner with Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a medical or hospital setting. Working under the supervision of a physician, you will diagnose and treat diseases, defects, or injuries, and recommend or prescribe treatments to alleviate physical, mental, or functional ailments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat diseases, defects, or injuries, and recommend or prescribe treatments.
  • Perform charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork to document care and billing.
  • Participate in physician educational programs and respond to requests for proposals for managed care contracts.
  • Establish quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, and patient education services.
  • Assist in the development of operational and capital budgets, and participate in operational assessments to enhance revenue and reduce expenses.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent.
  • South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner - NLNP certification.
  • Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License and South Carolina Controlled Substance license; Federal DEA license.
