Job Opportunity at Colorado State University

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Colorado State University. This is a tenure-track position that will contribute to the growth and development of our academic programs.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising graduate students, and conducting research in the field of social work. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to social justice and equity, and will be able to contribute to the School's mission of advancing human health and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in social work, including online courses
  • Advise graduate students in the School of Social Work, including serving as chair or mentor of thesis and dissertation committees
  • Conduct research and advance scholarship in the field of social work
  • Service on committees to advance School of Social Work initiatives
  • Represent the School of Social Work across the school, university, state, regionally, and nationally
Requirements
  • Personal and professional commitment to equity and social justice
  • Earned Ph.D. in a Social Work-related field
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully publish in academic proceedings and/or peer-reviewed journals
  • Potential to establish an externally funded research program
Preferred Qualifications
  • MSW degree from an accredited institution
  • Two + years post-masters professional practice experience
  • Evidence of successful university level teaching and mentoring
  • Evidence of externally funded research program
