Job Summary: Marshall Health Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our Dietary Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Review menus prior to preparation of food to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Inspect special diet trays to ensure they are correct and meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
- Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods to meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate dietary services with other departments as necessary to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Assist in standardizing methods for food preparation and service to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Two years of related food service experience, with a focus on culinary arts or nutrition.
- Leadership skills and experience, if supervising staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and management.
