Job Summary

This role is located at our store in Zionsville, Indiana, where we strive to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, generating sales, and merchandising products. In the absence of management staff, you will oversee store operations and direct associates. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and assisting with merchandise location
  • Use the S.A.L.E.S. process to help customers find products on their lists
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including price change bulletins and inventory reports
  • Receive and unpack merchandise, checking for accuracy and replenishing stock as needed
  • Display and maintain merchandise on shelves and in displays, following company guidelines
  • Maintain on-hand integrity through inventory adjustments and cycle counts
  • Follow nightly maintenance checklist to ensure store recovery and cleanliness
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
  • Practice loss prevention techniques to minimize shoplifting losses
  • Operate cash register, scanning merchandise and engaging customers in suggestive selling
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with color matching and mixing paint
  • Recommend products and services to customers in the service areas
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate effectively, work well with colleagues and customers, and adhere to company policies. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required, as well as the ability to work a flexible schedule.
