Industrial Engineer Principal

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Industrial Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Industrial Engineering Team, you will be responsible for analyzing and designing sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, general facilities & space utilization, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestones
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
- Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints
- Based on outcomes from the studies, develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
- May assist facility engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing areas
- Provide capacity planning, shop-loading, and staffing analysis for functional production teams
- Analyze existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance
- Bachelor of Science degree with 4 or more years of industrial engineering experience; OR a Master of Science degree with 3 or more years of industrial engineering experience; OR a PHD degree with 0 or more years of industrial engineering experience
- Experience with data mining, data analysis, or data visualization software applications e.g. Tableau, MS-Excel etc.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance and special program access
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) degree preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 or more years of demonstrated experience leading project teams
- Experience maintaining and developing SharePoint sites
- Experience performing Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Experience with SQL, VBA, or other programming languages
- Experience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, simulation methods or discrete event simulation
- Experience with agile methods of project management or development
Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300
