Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at JLL in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces.
  • Perform building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, mud and tape, and texturing tasks.
  • Operate equipment and set up scaffolding, and motorized lifts.
  • Perform special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Perform minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of painting experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of plumbing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance and building operations.
  • Ability to join Local 399 upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related engineering experience.
Physical Requirements

This job requires extensive standing and walking during the workday. Must be able to stoop, crouch, and kneel while performing tasks in cramped, difficult areas. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to safely climb and balance on ladders when performing tasks in or at the ceiling.
