The Food Service Cook role is a seasonal position, available in both full-time and part-time capacities. In this role, you will be instrumental in food preparation, assisting kitchen staff with the preparation of various dishes, and ensuring your assigned station meets the standards set by the Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food in accordance with established food handling guidelines and cooking protocols.
  • Measure and mix ingredients based on recipes or preparation records.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of food products at cooking stations to ensure seamless service.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow cooks, wait staff, and the food and beverage team.
  • Familiarize yourself with all kitchen equipment and its proper usage.
  • Adjust temperature controls for ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances as necessary.
  • Monitor and assess food being cooked through tasting, smelling, and using thermometers to ensure proper preparation.
  • Plate and portion food consistently according to presentation standards.
  • Label, date, and rotate all stored food items appropriately.
  • Execute closing procedures, including equipment maintenance, cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
ServSafe Certification is required or must be obtained upon hire.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
Availability to work during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
