Cardiovascular Animal Care Specialist Opportunity

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Animal Care Specialist to join our cardiology team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care for our patients and support veterinarians in all facets of care. With a strong focus on patient safety and well-being, you will work collaboratively with our team to deliver world-class care.

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is a leading veterinary teaching hospital and research institution located in Manhattan. Our state-of-the-art facilities and multidisciplinary team of over 140 veterinarians across 20+ specialties make us the go-to place for complex cases. Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional and compassionate care for our patients from admission through discharge
* Support veterinarians in all facets of care, including interpreting and executing treatment directives
* Complete all necessary technical procedures and treatments, with strict adherence to department and hospital protocols
* Communicate professionally with clients and referral veterinarians
* Maintain concise and accurate records of the patient's treatment progress and charges
* Participate in educational and research projects

Requirements:
* NYS Veterinary Technician's license (or permit) with general practice and anesthesia experience
* Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds and bend or kneel for extended periods while helping with patient restraint
* Basic computer skills and ability to correctly complete large amounts of paperwork
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed
