Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Telemetry team at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital. As an RN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with medical providers, and embodying the organization's values to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Requirements:

  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
