Position Overview

As a key member of the KT Pacer team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, you will play a vital role in assembling high-quality feed trailers and bodies. This position requires a commitment to excellence and the ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble purchased and fabricated components on feed trailers and bodies.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet product specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to construct units according to detailed specifications.
  • Identify and repair units that do not meet testing or tolerance standards.
  • Install hydraulic lines and electrical wiring as required.
  • Apply decals and warning labels in accordance with guidelines.
  • Install air lines and valves as directed.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisors to troubleshoot and diagnose component issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in the manufacturing of transportation or agricultural equipment is preferred.

Skills Required:
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, multiply, and divide.
Physical Requirements:

The role involves standing and moving on concrete for extended periods (8-12 hours). Candidates must be able to see, walk, bend, reach, grasp, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, carry, climb, and work overhead. Heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required multiple times daily, along with maneuvering large parts (up to 180 pounds).

Personal Protective Equipment:

Safety glasses, steel or composite-toed boots, and hearing protection are mandatory.
