Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the project scope and deliverables.
  • Effectively manage budgets, timelines, and overall project costs.
  • Supervise and uphold the Master Project Schedule, ensuring timely updates and revisions are communicated.
  • Oversee the submittal process and field operations, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and identify any discrepancies not covered in design documents.
  • Manage changes in design scope and oversee adjustments in costs and schedules.
  • Implement rigorous safety protocols and manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Lead and mentor both field and office personnel, promoting a culture of accountability and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least ten years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction cost management, scheduling, estimating, and procurement.
  • Strong familiarity with Public Work projects on Long Island.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of interpreting contract documents, drawings, and project schedules.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs, ladders, and maneuvering through active work areas.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The role may require lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to construction sites with moving mechanical parts, elevated areas, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Noise levels may range from moderate to very loud.
