Job Summary

The Product Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our robot system meets all applicable product compliance standards, regulations, and requirements to support commercial deployments in multiple international markets. This includes promoting a culture of product stewardship and capturing regulatory compliance requirements during product development.

About the Work:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy to meet global EMC, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Advise teams across the organization on product regulatory requirements to guide development, production, and deployment of compliant products.
  • Manage the third-party agency product approval process, including preliminary investigations, developing approval specifications, and coordinating tests.
  • Prepare and maintain product compliance documentation.
  • Maintain a balance between technical solutions, product compliance requirements, and business risk.
  • Participate in industry groups, surveillance, and analysis of relevant domestic and international regulations.
  • Manage changes in new product development and sustaining engineering from a product compliance perspective.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotic Engineering, or equivalent years' relevant industry experience focused on product compliance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product safety, EMC, and environment regulations.
  • Experience distilling product compliance requirements from standards and regulations.
  • Ability to travel as necessary (up to 25% of the time).

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Advanced degrees with professional engineering experience.
    • Experience with a range of domestic and non-domestic product compliance requirements.
    • Experience working with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories.
    • Demonstrated ability to own assignments and see them through to completion.
