Job Title: Packaging Specialist - Cannabis Production

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Packaging Specialist to join our team at Holistic Industries. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective preparation, filling, packaging, and labeling of our cannabis products.

About the Job:

This is a very labor-intensive position that requires the ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 75 pounds, as well as walk or stand for extended periods of time. The ideal candidate will have basic math skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage daily lab tasks with the Packaging Supervisor
  • Properly set up and operate filling, edible, and solid dose manufacturing, packaging, and labeling equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all related data in tracking software
  • Prepare plant material for extraction and accurately document related data
  • Efficiently fill, package, and label products in compliance with company SOPs and manufacturing procedures
  • Precise hand trimming required for flower sales
  • Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for debucking, trimming, grinding, drying, and curing cannabis harvests in preparation for oil extraction
  • Set up, break down, and sanitize packaging area as needed and in compliance with company SOPs
  • Assist with general laboratory tasks including winterization, filtering, ethanol extraction, and rotary evaporation
  • Perform in-process and post-process sample acquisitions according to protocols or batch records
  • Support new product lines and process development as needed
  • Clean and sanitize packaging and laboratory areas and equipment
  • Assist in monitoring and managing processing equipment supplies and inventory
  • Work in other areas of the facility including manufacturing, harvesting, and/or drying and weighing as needed
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior packaging and labeling experience preferred
  • Previous marijuana industry experience preferred; experience in licensed facilities strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) and Department of Public Health and Environment (DPHE)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong work ethic and sound judgment
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience.
