Avionics Mechanic Position

Tactical Air Support, Inc. is seeking a skilled Avionics Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance on aircraft electrical/avionics systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, test, repair, modify, and troubleshoot aircraft electrical/avionics systems
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to teammates as needed
Requirements:
  • High School/GED graduate with 3-6 years of experience in avionics/aircraft maintenance
  • Previous work-related experience in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor
  • Experience with high-performance military aircraft (F-5/T-38)
  • Experience with modifying F-5 Aircraft with Garmin and Mission Systems
  • Experience with aircraft wiring modifications
Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Vocational school or associate degree advantageous
  • Government-approved certification advantageous
Work Environment:

Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required)

Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls

Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders

Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate, and electrical shock

May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials
