Job Summary

As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain school facilities and grounds, including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, and performing other tasks related to cleanliness.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs as needed, including changing light fixtures and light bulbs.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Department on tasks requiring detailed work.
  • Order and maintain supplies, including cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Assist with moving furniture and other items within the school facilities.
  • Be available to respond to alarm activations and secure school buildings daily as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some experience with commercial custodial or janitorial work preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work independently with or without supervision.
  • Knowledge of safety rules in the workplace and ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Exposure to heat and cold on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
