Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our Oncology Clinic team at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care and management for patients in an outpatient setting, working closely with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working collaboratively with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Order laboratory tests, imaging studies, and medications as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage acutely ill patient populations.
  • Experience exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Salary and Benefits

The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
