Job Title

Internal Audit Intern

Job Summary

ProMedica is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Internal Audit Intern to assist in evaluating the activities of the system across all entities as a service to the board of trustees and all levels of management.

Functional Responsibilities
  • Assist in documentation of testing comprehensive, practice audit programs for evaluation of assigned areas.
  • Ensure compliance with acceptable audit standards, plans and schedules.
  • Meet with Sr. Auditor(s) throughout audit process to ensure accurate understanding of area/function audited and ensure regular communication with management.
  • Assist with assessments and reports on all control weaknesses and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed workpapers to support completion of the audit program and any findings identified.
  • Participate in pre- & post-audit meetings as requested and provide analytical support of issues presented.
  • Use computer-assigned auditing techniques where appropriate.
  • Maintain current knowledge of new developments relating to accounting, auditing, IT and other matters.
  • Perform special reviews as requested.
Requirements
  • Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in accounting, business related area, or Information Technology.
  • Must be able to move about facility and between workstations.
  • Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient with office and automation software.
  • Must be able to occasionally move lightweight materials.
