Currently, we are seeking an experienced:

Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)

Per Diem Basis

(Stanly & Cabarrus Counties)

Job Description

  • Apply nursing theories and concepts in practice.
  • Ensure patient care meets reimbursement guidelines through documentation.
  • Coordinate physical care of the patient with family, patient, physician, and hospice team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients/families at all levels.
  • Maintain open communication with agency personnel.
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure and completion of a nursing education program from an approved school of nursing with two years of clinical experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with home health and hospice care program framework, function, and organization, as well as the nurse's role in patient care teams.
  • Working knowledge of nursing principles and practices according to the nursing practice act, agency policies, procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Ongoing professional development through 12 hours of continuing education annually.
  • CPR certification.
  • A willingness to accept travel assignments based on agency need, including weekend/evening and holiday call responsibilities.

We offer a competitive salary for this role. According to industry standards, we estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
