Job Description

The Application and Data Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the organization's ERP system (Infor CSI – Cloud Suite Industrial) and Sales/Service CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), as well as developing and maintaining the PowerBI platform. This position will also contribute to various business projects, providing data-driven insights and solutions to enhance organizational performance. The position will also liaise with onsite and remote IT employees to provide guidance and support on various desktop support (hardware/software support) and infrastructure support questions (network/server).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and optimize the Infor Syteline ERP system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user queries.
  • Reporting and form development to suit business requirements.
  • Oversee the administration and support of Microsoft Dynamics applications.
  • Ensure system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system requirements and customize solutions accordingly.
  • Manage relationship with current external support vendor.
  • Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Integrate PowerBI with various data sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide training and support to users in leveraging PowerBI tools effectively.
  • Conduct data analysis to support strategic initiatives and business projects.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and insights based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure data integrity across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive special business projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and data-driven recommendations to support project goals.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to end-users to enhance system utilization.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in application management, data analysis, and reporting.

Technical Skills:

Deep experience with ERP and CRM systems (company currently uses Infor CSI and Microsoft Dynamics).

Strong experience with PowerBI, including report design, data modeling, and dashboard creation.

Solid understanding of SQL and data integration techniques.

Project Management: Experience in managing or participating in business projects is a plus.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or training in Infor Syteline, Microsoft Dynamics, or PowerBI.

Experience with other BI tools or ERP systems is a plus.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices.
