Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate federal, state, and local tax filings for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Guarantee compliance with all tax regulations and statutes, remaining updated with modifications and revisions.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and provide counsel on intricate tax matters.
- Formulate and execute efficient tax strategies to reduce tax obligations and amplify tax advantages.
- Oversee tax audits and communicate with tax authorities as necessary.
- Prepare and assess tax provisions and associated financial statement disclosures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to support business goals and transactions.
- Maintain precise and organized tax records and documentation.
- Offer mentorship and support to junior tax personnel, promoting a collaborative and encouraging work atmosphere.
- Assist in the formulation of annual tax budgets and forecasts.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, ideally within a public accounting firm or a corporate tax division.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.
- Master's degree in Taxation or a related field.
- Experience with international tax compliance and planning.
