We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our supply chain logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, selection, and delivery of products to our stores.
Key Responsibilities- Product Receipt and Selection: Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to effectively fulfill orders received from stores.
- Inventory Management: Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines, sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unloads incoming shipment from trucks/ back-hauls.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
- Inventory Counts: Participate in-taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
- Communication and Teamwork: Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
- Process Improvement: Provide input to the warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes.
- Quality Control: Inspect product, consult with the warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
- Decision Making: Act and decide independently within the delegated area of responsibility.
- Budget Management: Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
- Task Execution: Perform all assigned tasks, accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights, frequently move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare product for store deliveries, frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Working Conditions: Continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments).
- Equipment Operation: Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
