Regional RN Consultant Job Description

Elderwood is seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse to lead our Skilled Nursing Facilities in Western New York. As a Regional RN Consultant, you will provide clinical oversight and guidance to our facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical mentorship and support to facility leadership and staff
  • Travel to various facilities, conferences, and meetings to ensure compliance and quality care
  • Perform on-call and emergency duties as needed
  • Conduct mock survey audits and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and implement quality improvement programs and policies
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to address compliance and litigation risks
  • Participate in monthly operations meetings and contribute to the company's goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience as a Director of Nursing
  • Operational experience in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing
  • Knowledge of state and federal LTC regulations
  • Reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in computer programs and electronic medical records
