Role Overview:
Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is in search of a passionate Elementary Grades educator who is committed to addressing student needs and thrives in a Catholic educational setting. Established in 1953, OLG is dedicated to fostering each child's unique talents, guiding them to become intentional disciples and servant leaders.
To succeed in this position, candidates should:
- Design engaging lesson plans for core subjects in third grade while adhering to educational standards and accommodating diverse learning styles
- Serve as the Third Grade Homeroom Instructor
- Embody Catholic/Christian principles and lifestyle
- Exhibit qualities of optimism, adaptability, patience, and teamwork
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and cultivate positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Have a proven history of successful interactions with students and parents; experience in special education is advantageous
- Contribute to the school's mission through participation in committees, assisting with student activities, and fulfilling other responsibilities
- Possess a relevant degree and NC Teacher certification (or meet diocesan standards if certification is not from NC)
- Be proactive in facilitating students' academic and behavioral objectives through various duties
Additional Requirements:
Candidates should have a solid background in working with children in educational or related environments. A resume, cover letter, and three professional references are necessary. Candidates must be prepared for a criminal background screening as part of the hiring process.
