Maintenance Mechanic Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic Leader to join our team at Grand Teton National Park. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a crew of maintenance workers in the upkeep and repair of park facilities, including buildings, roads, and trails.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of maintenance workers in the performance of routine maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
- Ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure that park facilities are well-maintained and meet park standards.
- Collaborate with other park staff to ensure that maintenance activities are coordinated and effective.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lead or supervise maintenance work equivalent to the WG-09 level.
- Knowledge of maintenance work in at least two of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, wastewater treatment, water treatment plant operations, roofing, or electrical.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other park staff.
- Integrity and willingness to accept policy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. The selected candidate will be required to wear a uniform and comply with National Park Service uniform standards.
