Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced World/Level Designer to join our team at Hasbro. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for creating immersive and engaging gameplay experiences for our AAA games.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement immersive gameplay scenarios that support and improve the core mechanics and creative vision of the game.
  • Collaborate with the Lead World Designer, Level Art, Narrative, and other teams to build a cohesive user-focused experience.
  • Work with Gameplay Designers to define, develop, and tweak game mechanics.
  • Help set up and script gameplay content in levels, including events, encounters, and interactions using blueprints with Unreal.

Requirements:

  • Passion for both open-world and linear level design.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of game development experience and significant contribution to multiple shipped AAA titles as a Level Designer/World Builder.
  • Sound understanding of overall game design, storytelling, game mechanics, level flow, world activities, pacing, etc.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, design production tools, and level editing pipelines (e.g., World Partition). Very comfortable with blueprints.
  • Good sense of aesthetics, design, colors, and an eye for composition.
  • Passion for making and playing games.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, team-oriented; must have the ability to interact and collaborate with all departments and teams.
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated, can perform duties with little oversight, Design and Tech.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with gameplay mechanics, progression, or AI.
  • Experience working on Open-World and/or Sandbox projects.
  • Prior experience working as a Tech Designer.
