Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips, and other key indicators.
  • Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors.
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing.
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
  • 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and other advanced nursing care practices.
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
