Satellite Systems Engineer
We have an opening for a Satellite Systems Engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. As a key member of our Advanced Satcom Systems and Operations Group, you will play a crucial role in the development of next-generation satellite communication systems. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing innovative solutions for complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technology, and working closely with government agencies and industry partners to advance the state-of-the-art in satellite communication systems.

About the Role:

This position requires a strong background in wireless communications and signal processing, as well as experience with MATLAB, Python, or other equivalent modeling and simulation tools.

You will work on designing and analyzing novel waveforms, digital signal processing algorithms, and dynamic resource allocation schemes, as well as participating in multi-disciplinary teams and contributing to DoD policy, requirements, acquisition, systems engineering, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative solutions for complex technical challenges in satellite communication systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technology and meet project goals.
  • Work closely with government agencies and industry partners to advance the state-of-the-art in satellite communication systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reports, presentations, and proposals.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with a strong background in wireless communications and signal processing, as well as experience with MATLAB, Python, or other equivalent modeling and simulation tools.

Additional desired qualifications include machine learning, adaptive filtering, array processing, media access control protocols, networking, fixed point algorithm design and implementation targeting embedded processors, antennas, arrays, and RF circuits, software defined radio, and software defined networking.
