Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Registrar to join our team. As a Trauma Registrar, you will play a critical role in supervising the trauma data collection process and maintaining the Hospital Trauma Registry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the trauma data collection process and maintain the Hospital Trauma Registry
  • Collect and abstract data from service activity, logs, and trauma patient charts
  • Contribute to injury research, epidemiology, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely data collection

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience related to medical record abstraction
  • RHIT and/or RHIA certification preferred
