Position Overview:

The Market Insights Analyst utilizes analytical data to generate and promote actionable insights and market intelligence for the organization. This role encompasses mastery and support of the five Core Competencies: strategic business planning, performance assessment, product and inventory oversight, pricing and revenue optimization, as well as demand forecasting and budgeting. The analyst is responsible for fostering and cultivating behaviors aligned with Breakthru Beverage Group's Trade Development mission while consistently adhering to established business protocols. This position serves as the local market authority on customers, brands, key sales influencers, trends, and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract actionable insights and propose recommendations by effectively conveying results to leadership.
  • Identify growth, innovation, and competitive opportunities among suppliers to enhance market share, revenue, and profitability through data analytics.
  • Facilitate the generation of actionable channel and brand insights for the market.
  • Deliver supplier and customer-centric insights derived from a blend of internal, syndicated, and other industry-relevant data to provide recommendations and actionable solutions.
  • Ensure uniformity and standardization in performance measurement with key supplier partners and customers, utilizing analytics and insights as the focal point of discussions.
  • Support the standardization of reporting across the assigned portfolio.
  • Assist in the development of key initiative metrics and target accounts as necessary.
  • Provide assessments of channel performance and maintain appropriate tracking documents for key initiatives.
  • Prepare quarterly market updates for significant accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of content for monthly and quarterly sales meetings.
  • Collect, analyze, and present survey data.
  • Assist in preparation with Trade Development/VP for all Quarterly Business Reviews, Top to Top presentations, and business reviews, including various ad hoc requests.
  • Responsible for the setup, communication, and report preparation in the monthly business planning process.
  • Research and anticipate analytical market needs, including competitive and gap analyses.
  • Lead ad-hoc strategic projects and analyses, translating business inquiries into actionable reports. Prepare written analyses and present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analytics, strategic planning, or market research.
  • Proficient in PC skills, including MS Office and various analytical software.
  • Results-oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or collaboratively, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, with critical thinking abilities in both quantitative and qualitative contexts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical systems/tools/databases (e.g., SAP WEBI/BOBJ, PowerBI, Connected Excel, TABS Analytics, Nielsen, etc.).
  • Experience leveraging syndicated (Nielsen, IRI, etc.), consumer, shopper research, and/or category management data.
  • Sales or marketing experience with a major consumer packaged goods company.
  • Able to manage large datasets from various sources.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
