Position Overview:

The Market Insights Analyst plays a pivotal role in harnessing data to generate actionable insights and strategic market intelligence for the organization. This role encompasses the mastery and support of essential competencies including business strategy formulation, performance assessment, product and inventory oversight, pricing and revenue optimization, as well as demand forecasting and budgeting. The analyst is expected to embody and promote the mission of Breakthru Beverage Group's Trade Development while consistently adhering to established business protocols and supporting the Reliability Model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract actionable insights and present recommendations to leadership through effective communication of results.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier growth, innovation, and competitive advantage to enhance market share, revenue, and profitability through data analytics.
  • Facilitate the generation of actionable information regarding channels and brands within the market.
  • Deliver insights based on a blend of internal, syndicated, and industry-relevant data to formulate recommendations and actionable strategies.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization in performance measurement with key supplier partners and customers, using analytics as the central focus.
  • Support the uniformity of reporting across the assigned portfolio.
  • Assist in the development of metrics for key initiatives and target accounts as required.
  • Provide assessments of channel performance along with appropriate tracking documentation for key initiatives.
  • Prepare quarterly market updates for significant accounts.
  • Contribute to the creation of content for monthly and quarterly sales meetings.
  • Collect, analyze, and present survey data.
  • Assist in preparing materials for Quarterly Business Reviews and other business assessments, including various ad hoc requests.
  • Manage setup, communication, and report preparation in the monthly business planning process.
  • Research and forecast analytical market needs, including competitive and gap analyses.
  • Lead strategic projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis, translating business inquiries into actionable reports and presenting findings to key stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analytics, strategic planning, or market research.
  • Proficient in PC applications, particularly MS Office and various analytical software.
  • Results-driven professional with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently or collaboratively, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills, demonstrating critical thinking both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Excel and other analytical tools/databases (e.g., SAP WEBI/BOBJ, PowerBI, TABS Analytics, Nielsen).
  • Experience leveraging syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), consumer insights, and category management data.
  • Background in sales or marketing within a major consumer packaged goods company.
  • Adept at managing large datasets from diverse sources.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.

Competencies:

  • Accountable for results that impact departmental performance.
  • Effectively selects the best option from defined procedures and solutions using common sense and experience.
