Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Adventist Health Sonora. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Our ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and be licensed in the state of practice. Two years of experience in speech language pathology is preferred. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating speech therapy for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

As a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care. You will also have the chance to participate in clinical education, supervising student interns, clinical affiliates, and Clinical Fellowships (CFYs) as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate speech therapy for patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Supervise student interns, clinical affiliates, and Clinical Fellowships (CFYs) as needed.
  • Participate in clinical education and provide education opportunities to personnel and the broader community.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Licensed in the state of practice.
  • Two years of experience in speech language pathology preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
