Volt is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' electrical systems. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that requires a strong background in electrical systems and process control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including programming and commissioning of control systems.
- Field Operations Management: Manage field operations, including engineering design, maintenance, job planning, and operational reporting.
- Support and Coordination: Provide technical support to engineers and specialists on-site, and coordinate with project teams for scheduling and scope management.
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company specifications and industry regulations, and develop and implement quality control procedures.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide detailed written and verbal reports to clients, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or 5-10 years of applicable experience in electrical systems and process control.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in electrical systems, process control, and programming languages such as Rockwell PLC's (Logix 5000), Wonderware HMI, Plant Pax, Delta-V, and Yokogawa.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Travel and Work Schedule: Must be willing to travel extensively, with a 14-day on/14-day off schedule, and some offshore work required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Volt offers a competitive salary range of $120-150K annually, with generous expense and travel bonuses. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
